Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts is seeking Direct Support/Care Professionals to work with youth at the Rutland, MA program. You will provide direct supervision, safety, and compassionate therapeutic interventions in a structured setting.

The role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus, potential MAPS certification bonus, comprehensive full-time benefits, and growth opportunities through the ASCEND career-accelerator program at Devereux.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders preferred.
• Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.
• Must be MAPS certified, or able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Be responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement for the same.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Living Skills.
• Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation
