Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Support/Care Professional to work with youth in Rutland, MA. The role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and additional $250 bonus if MAP certified, with opportunities for growth within a large nonprofit behavioral health organization.

Responsibilities include supervising youth, delivering therapeutic interventions, teaching daily living skills, and maintaining thorough documentation. A 2-week paid orientation and a strong commitment to safety are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• MAPS certification or able to obtain within 6 months for group home setting.
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred in related fields.
• Active driver’s license required.
• Prior experience with youth or behavioral disorders preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision for youth as assigned.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions in a compassionate environment.
• Engage with youth, teach ADL living skills, and reinforce positive behaviors.
• Document progress notes and incident reports accurately.
