Job summary

3M’s Services LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide personalized, compassionate care to individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans, de-escalate challenging behaviors, and encourage participation in social activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related certifications optional.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and applying them effectively.
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation to travel to client homes/events.
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed; physically capable.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor; commitment to care.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care: daily living activities, meal prep, personal hygiene, medication administration.
• De-escalation management to foster positive behaviors and a safe environment.
• Empower participation by supporting social and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, progress, and goals.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Previous experience with individuals with developmental disabilities

Knowledge of behavior management techniques
