Job summary

The Arc of Opportunity is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with developmental disabilities live their fullest potential in Hubbardston, MA. The role offers a full-time schedule and a competitive hourly wage with bonus opportunities.

Salary includes $5,000 hiring bonus and a $1,500 referral bonus for current staff, with MAP certification enhancing pay to $21.85/hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with employer matching, and generous time off.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED.
• Active and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Ability to lift to 50lbs and sustained periods of sitting or standing.
• Ability to assist in a restraint if needed.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively Advocate for individuals served demonstrating the Agency’s values and mission in all interactions.
• Leverage your knowledge and interests in the community to empower individuals and enhance their quality of life.
• Implement Individual Service Plans.
• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily living, including household tasks and chores.
• Assist individuals with appointments, including driving the Agency’s van.
• Present in a respectful and professional manner in all interaction.
• Attend all trainings and implement knowledge throughout your work.
• Communicate in an effective manner whether orally or written.
