Job summary

The Arc of Opportunity in North Central Massachusetts is seeking Direct Support Professionals to empower individuals with developmental disabilities and help them reach their fullest potential. This full-time role focuses on daily living support, community integration, and respectful advocacy.

Compensation includes $20.81/hour or $21.85/hour with MAP Certification, a $1500 referral bonus for current staff, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and a 401k with employer matching.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED.
• Active and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Ability to lift to 50lbs and sustained periods of sitting or standing.
• Ability to assist in a restraint if needed.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively Advocate for individuals served demonstrating the Agency’s values and mission in all interactions.
• Leveraging knowledge to empower individuals and enhance their quality of life.
• Implement Individual Service Plans.
• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily living, including household tasks and chores.
• Assist individuals with appointments, including driving the Agency’s van.
• Present in a respectful and professional manner in all interaction.
• Attend all trainings and implement knowledge throughout your work.
• Communicate effectively whether orally or written.
