Job summary

ICL is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the Bronx, NY, to provide direct care in a residential setting. Shifts include Saturday-Sunday mornings (7am-3:30pm), totaling 16 hours weekly, with an hourly rate of $19.8077.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a DSP certificate, with additional certifications obtainable within six months of hire. Responsibilities include personal care, medication administration per AMAP, nutrition support, and facilitating skill

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; DSP certificate preferred/required within six months of hire.
• Experience providing direct care to adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities preferred.
• AMAP Certification – current or obtainable within six months of hire; SCIP-R and CPR/First Aid require within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health support, including medication administration (per AMAP) and vital signs.
• Support nutrition, mealtime activities, and social dining skills.
• Maintain a safe, clean residential environment with housekeeping and safety practices.
• Promote development, independence, and community integration through skill-building and transportation.
• Observe, document, and report progress; participate in planning and training.
• Respond to emergencies using approved behavior management techniques and procedures.
