Job summary

Institute for Community Living is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care in a residential setting in New York. Under supervision, you'll support adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities, helping with daily living, skills development, and community integration.

Shifts Monday through Sunday 7am–3:30pm, 16 hours per week, with a starting hourly rate of $19.81. Required are a high school diploma or GED, a DSP certificate, and current AMAP/SCIP‑R/CPR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• DSP certificate from an accredited organization is required.
• Experience providing direct care to adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health support, including hygiene, grooming, toileting, medication administration (AMAP), vital signs, and medical appointments.
• Support nutrition and mealtime activities, including meal preparation and safe food handling.
• Maintain a safe, clean residential environment with housekeeping and safety measures.
• Promote development, independence, and community integration through skill-building and transportation support.
• Observe, document, and report individual progress; participate in planning and training.
