Job summary

The Center for Disability Services in the Capital Region of New York is hiring Direct Support Professional II for residential services. Compensation is commensurate with experience and program acuity, with shift differentials and additional trainings available.

Flexible scheduling includes full-time, part-time, and per diem/relief in a 24/7 environment; weekend, evening, and overnight options may be available.

Qualifications

• NYS Driver's License required.
• 18+ years old and able to lift 50 pounds.
• 1 year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the person’s planning, implementation, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist, promote, and provide independence in daily treatment, care, and services.
• Respect the person’s choices, lifestyle, and dignity to take informed risks.
• Help implement personalized habilitation services per care plan.
• Assist in acquiring skills including basic activities of daily living, self-care and household management.
