Job summary

West Bay RI is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with intellectual, developmental, and emotional disabilities live more independently in home and community settings. We offer competitive pay and flexible schedules.

As a DSP, you will provide person-centered support, maintain documentation, and collaborate with a caring team to promote safety and growth. Weekend differential and a new pay rate enhance opportunities for a rewarding career with meaning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation needed.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and perform bending/kneeling/pushing/pulling.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient attitude required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and daily living activities
• Preparing meals and supporting dietary needs
• Helping with household tasks and errands
• Transporting and accompanying individuals to appointments and community activities
• Administering medications and treatments according to policy
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and community involvement
• Building positive relationships with individuals, families, and coworkers
• Maintaining accurate documentation and following individualized care plans
• Promoting a safe, healthy, and respectful living environment
• Participating in required training and professional development
