Job summary

All Ways Caring HomeCare is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home-like setting. Join a compassionate team and help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

Responsibilities include personal care, implementing service and behavior plans, documenting progress, and transporting clients to activities and appointments. Evening and weekend shifts may be available.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Background check clearance required.
• Valid driver’s license with auto insurance.
• High school diploma or GED; DSP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months of experience with behavioral health supports to individuals with I/DD.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks: hygiene, grooming, feeding, ambulation, health monitoring.
• Foster positive relationships between individuals served and their support circle.
• Encourage self-help activities.
• Implement ISPs and Behavior Support Plans.
• Manage behaviors via prevention or de-escalation of aggression.
• Keep accurate daily documentation of activities, meds, plans and data.
• Transport clients to activities and medical appointments.
• Run errands for clients as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

All Ways Caring HomeCare is looking for someone like you to join our team! As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in helping us provide compassionate care to our clients in the comfort of their homes.

• Performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks
• Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support.
• Encouraging self-help activities
• Implements Individual Service Plan and Behavior Support Plans
• Manage Individual's behaviors by prevention or de-escalation of aggression.
• Keeps accurate daily documentation of activities, fire/ disaster drills, Behavior Support Plans, medications, goal and data tracking, as well as other documentation.
• Transport individuals to and from community activities and medical appointments.
• Transporting clients or running errands for clients
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older
• Pass background check
• Driver's license with valid Auto Insurance
• High school diploma/GED
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or Copy of high school diploma/transcript or General Education Development (GED) diploma; and at least six (6) months of experience providing behavioral health related services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), or documented experience providing specific supports to individuals with disabilities
