Job summary

All Ways Caring HomeCare is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate, home-based care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home-like setting. You will assist with daily living activities and help maintain dignity and independence.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, DSP certification or equivalent, and be able to pass a background check. A valid driver’s license with auto insurance is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pass a background check.
• Driver's license with valid auto insurance.
• High school diploma or GED; DSP cert or equivalent with some disability care experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care tasks including hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
• Fostering positive relationships with individuals served and their circle of support.
• Encouraging self-help activities.
• Implementing Individual Service Plans and Behavior Support Plans.
• Managing behaviors by prevention or de-escalation.
• Maintaining accurate daily documentation of activities, medications, and data.
• Transporting individuals to activities and medical appointments.
• Other duties as assigned.

All Ways Caring HomeCare is looking for someone like you to join our team! As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in helping us provide compassionate care to our clients in the comfort of their homes.

• Performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks
• Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support.
• Encouraging self-help activities
• Implements Individual Service Plan and Behavior Support Plans
• Manage Individual's behaviors by prevention or de-escalation of aggression.
• Keeps accurate daily documentation of activities, fire/ disaster drills, Behavior Support Plans, medications, goal and data tracking, as well as other documentation.
• Transport individuals to and from community activities and medical appointments.
• Transporting clients or running errands for clients
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older
• Pass background check
• Driver's license with valid Auto Insurance
• High school diploma/GED
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or Copy of high school diploma/transcript or General Education Development (GED) diploma; and at least six (6) months of experience providing behavioral health related services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), or documented experience providing specific supports to individuals with disabilities
