Job summary

Lifeworks Services in Apple Valley, MN is seeking a Direct Support Professional I for full- or part-time roles. You will advocate for and support individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them build skills, access opportunities, and achieve meaningful goals.

You’ll work Monday–Friday, on-site, with a competitive hourly wage of 17.50 to 19.00 and a sign-on bonus of up to 1,500. Benefits include PTO, holidays, health coverage, retirement plan, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Access to reliable transportation for work driving purposes.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Identify, implement, and document individuals’ preferences, goals, and support needs.
• Follow person-centered plans and goals, including opportunities for choice.
• Support development of community relationships and independence skills.
• Provide information or training to coworkers on service requirements.
• Assist with personal care routines and transportation to community sites.
