Job summary

Dungarvin in Maplewood, MN seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities, support daily living, and promote independence within an ISP framework. You’ll join a mission-driven team providing person-centered supports and community integration.

The role offers a fixed starting wage of $18.50/hr, full-time benefits, 401(k) with employer match, PTO, and access to ongoing training and mentorship for career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs
• Assist with activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development
• Support individuals in achieving goals and objectives outlined in their ISPs and document progress accordingly
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements
