Job summary

Seven Hills Foundation is seeking a Direct Support Professional I for its Medically Complex Behavioral Residence in Groton, MA. This per diem role supports adolescents 12–18 in a structured, therapeutic setting and focuses on trauma-informed care and safety.

You will provide direct care, help with living activities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote emotional regulation and positive behaviors on every shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Standard driver’s license – class C or D1 with 3 years of related experience.
• Experience delivering direct care in residential or youth-serving settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, supervision, and support to youth in a 24/7 residential setting.
• Build trusting, professional relationships while maintaining healthy boundaries.
• Foster a safe, trauma-informed environment supporting emotional regulation and positive behavior.
• Assist with daily living activities (meals, personal care, laundry, chores, activities).
• Monitor safety, identify risks, and respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and approved interventions when needed.
• Complete shift notes, medication documentation, incident reports, and required records.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and agency policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and multidisciplinary team for consistent care.
• Participate in trainings and maintain a dependable presence on every shift.
