Job summary

Seven Hills Foundation seeks a Direct Support Professional I to provide direct care and supervision for youth in a medically complex behavioral residence in Groton, MA. You will support adolescents aged 12–18 in a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment designed to foster emotional regulation and positive behavior.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, supervision, and support to youth in a 24/7 residential setting.
• Build trusting, professional relationships while maintaining healthy boundaries.

• Support daily living activities including meals, personal care, laundry, and household chores.
• Monitor safety, identify risks, and respond to crisis situations using de-escalation techniques.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct care, supervision, and support to youth in a 24/7 residential setting.


• Build trusting, professional relationships while maintaining healthy boundaries.


• Foster a safe, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment that promotes emotional regulation, social development, and positive behavior.


• Support daily living activities, including meals, personal care, laundry, household chores, and recreational activities.


• Monitor safety, identify potential risks, and respond appropriately to crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and approved physical interventions when necessary.


• Accurately complete shift notes, medication documentation, incident reports, and other required records.


• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and agency policies.


• Collaborate with supervisors and multidisciplinary team members to provide consistent, high-quality care.


• Participate in required trainings and maintain a professional, dependable presence on every shift.
