Job summary

Seven Hills Foundation is hiring a Direct Support Professional I for our Medically Complex Behavioral Residence in Groton, MA. The role supports adolescents aged 12–18 in a therapeutic, structured setting, providing trauma-informed care and daily living assistance on a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities include direct care, supervision, and documentation while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience with youth in care settings preferred.
• Ability to document shift notes and reports accurately.
• Trauma-informed care approach is beneficial.

Schedule: Wednesday 3pm-11pm. Thursday 3pm-11pm, Friday 3pm-11pm, Saturday 7am-11pm

What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll play an essential role in creating a positive, supportive environment where youth can heal, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide direct care, supervision, and support to youth in a 24/7 residential setting.
• Build trusting, professional relationships while maintaining healthy boundaries.
• Foster a safe, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment that promotes emotional regulation, social development, and positive behavior.
• Support daily living activities, including meals, personal care, laundry, household chores, and recreational activities.
• Monitor safety, identify potential risks, and respond appropriately to crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and approved physical interventions when necessary.
• Accurately complete shift notes, medication documentation, incident reports, and other required records.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and agency policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and multidisciplinary team members to provide consistent, high-quality care.
• Participate in required trainings and maintain a professional, dependable presence on every shift.
