Job summary

Advancing Opportunities, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Bear, Delaware. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting, with a 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift from Thursday to Monday. Paid training and opportunities for DailyPay are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification if not currently certified
• Ability to pass state/federal background checks and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting
• Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, and hygiene
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
• Support daily living skills and independence
• Assist with appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
• Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
• Follow individualized support plans and goals
• Promote dignity, respect, and person-centered care

What You'll Do
