Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings. Join a team that values dignity, independence, and meaningful everyday achievements.

No experience is required; paid training is provided, and you will gain skills in personal care, daily living assistance, and community activities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPR and First Aid certification if not currently certified.
• Pass state and federal background checks, drug screening, and medical prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed.
• Supporting daily living skills and independence.
• Assisting with appointments, community outings, and recreational activities.
• Providing companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Following individualized support plans and goals.
• Promoting dignity, respect, and person-centered care.

What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
