Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide home- and community-based services in New Jersey. Full-time and part-time positions available, with comprehensive training provided.

You'll assist individuals with daily living, support community participation, and follow individualized plans. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred; background checks and required trainings are provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred, but training provided.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.
• Ability to pass required background checks and complete DDD-mandated training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc.) — provided by the company.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals in homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings.
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed.
• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable).
• Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements.
• Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times.
