Job summary

In Good Company Care and Supports provides home- and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. We're looking for compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals to join our team — both full-time and part-time positions available.

Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals in their homes and communities, assist with daily living activities, and follow individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred; training provided.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and complete DDD training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc. — provided by the company).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings.
• Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed.
• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable).
• Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements.
• Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times.
