Job summary

Northeast Family Services in Cranston, RI, is seeking a High Support Needs Direct Support Professional to join a growing, patient-centered team. This fee-for-service role focuses on implementing clients' behavior support plans and providing ABA-based instruction to promote new skills under a supervising BCBA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional-age youth, or families.
• RBT certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Availability to work after-school and evening hours.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions in applied settings preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, person-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Implement clients' behavior support plans to reduce challenging behaviors.
• Provide ABA-based instruction to promote the development of new skills under supervision of a BCBA.
• Monitor client behavior and collect behavioral data.
• Communicate observations and progress to the client’s care team.
• Collaborate closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support meaningful change.
