Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges in daily living activities.

No prior experience required; we provide on-the-job training and comprehensive benefits. The LEAP program offers growth into leadership roles and advancement opportunities within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who have mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work in environments with potential exposure to physical aggression and infectious disease.

Responsabilités

• Provide Support & Care: Encourage and guide individuals to meet their goals following person-centered plans.
• Foster a Safe Environment: Create a trust-filled space where individuals feel safe, supported, and respected, upholding rights.
• Meal prep & Housekeeping: Cook meals per dietary specs and assist with laundry and cleaning.
• Transportation & Advocacy: Transport individuals to appointments and advocate on their behalf.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and ensure correct dosage.
• 24/7 Availability: Remain awake and accessible in homes requiring round-the-clock care.
