Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a part-time weekend role (Saturday and Sunday, 8am-8pm) in Zebulon, NC with local travel. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.

You will support individuals with IDD in their home and community settings and help with daily living tasks. The role emphasizes hands-on care, documentation in the health system, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Education: A High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and community they live in.
• Assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize their schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.

Location: Zebulon, NC, with regular local community travel
Compensation: $15.00/hour

Your Role in Our Mission

• Experience: entry-level, on-the-job training is provided
• Education: A High school diploma or GED is required
• Knowledge: basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols
• Skills: Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!
• Technology: Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy to learn
• Transportation: DSPs must have reliable transportation and current auto insurance
