Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Greensboro, NC is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their group home and community. The role includes home-based care, daily living tasks, and transportation when needed.

You will work full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, in a Raleigh-based group home, with local travel as required. Compensation starts at $15.00 per hour, with on-the-job training and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Entry-level, on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support.
• May transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize their schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll play a critical role in carrying out that mission by helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) complete everyday living tasks and achieve their goals living in our group home in Raleigh, NC.

Position details: Full-Time 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday

Location: Greensboro, NC

Compensation: $15.00/hour
