Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with IDD complete daily living tasks and achieve goals in their homes and communities. This is a part-time role with after-school hours and weekends in Raleigh, NC, with local travel and a compensation of $15.00 per hour.

You'll provide in-home and community-based care, assist with housekeeping, meal prep, personal care, transportation to appointments, schedule planning, and daily documentation in the

• Entry-level position; on-the-job training provided.

• Strong interpersonal, detail-oriented and dependable nature essential.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and in the community.
• Assist with daily living tasks: housekeeping, meal prep, cooking, cleaning; personal care.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize the client's schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health record system.

Your Role in Our Mission

• You will provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support
• You may transport the client to appointments and run errands
• Help plan and organize their schedule
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record
