Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with IDD achieve daily living goals in a group home setting.

You will assist with housekeeping, meal prep, personal care, and transportation, document in EHR, and participate in paid training including CPR/first aid and safety protocols.

This full-time role offers meaningful work, supportive supervision, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience: entry-level, on-the-job training provided.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge: basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Skills: interpersonal skills, attention to detail, dependability.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize their schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.

Position details: Full-Time 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday

Location: Greensboro, NC

Compensation: $15.00/hour

Your Role in Our Mission

• You will provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in
