Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with IDD live in our Raleigh, NC group home, providing caring daily assistance to achieve personal goals in a supportive setting.

This full-time role is 11 PM–7 AM, Monday–Friday with local travel. You’ll assist with housekeeping, meals, personal care, transport, scheduling, and daily documentation in the EHR. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Experience not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Education: high school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community where the individual lives.
• Assist with housekeeping, meals, cooking, and daily living tasks; personal care as needed.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize client schedules.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health record.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll play a critical role in carrying out that mission by helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) complete everyday living tasks and achieve their goals living in our group home in Raleigh, NC.

Position details: Full-time: 11 PM - 7 AM Monday-Friday

Location: Raleigh, NC, with regular local community travel

Compensation: $15.00/hour

Your Role in Our Mission

• You will provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support
• You may transport the client to appointments and run errands
• Help plan and organize their schedule
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record
