Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in daily living tasks and goal achievement. Compensation is $17.00/hour with part-time and full-time options available.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, meal prep, personal care, transportation to appointments, and daily documentation in the health record. Training and flexible scheduling support a work–life balance within a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED is required
• Knowledge: basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols
• Skills: interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability
• Technology: proficiency with EHR systems or ability to learn
• Transportation: DSPs must have reliable transportation, driver’s license, and current auto insurance

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll play a critical role in carrying out that mission by helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) complete everyday living tasks and achieve their goals.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Compensation: $17.00/hour

Part Time

Option 1: 7:00AM-7:00PM every other weekend and Tuesday and Thursday 7:00AM-2:00PM (26 Hours)
Option 2: 7:00AM-7:00PM every other weekend and Wednesday and Thursday 1:00PM-8:00PM (26 Hours)

Full Time

Option 1: 7:00AM-7:00PM every other weekend and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 7:00AM-2:00PM
Option 2: 7:00AM-7:00PM every other weekend and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 1:00PM-8:00PM
Option 3: 7:00AM-3:00PM Monday-Friday with rotating weekends.

Your Role in Our Mission
