Job summary

Devereux in Rutland, MA seeks a Direct Support/Care Professional to support adolescents and young adults with complex psychological and behavioral needs. You will provide direct supervision, safety, and therapeutic interventions in a compassionate environment.

The role offers pay between $20.50 and $23.87 per hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a $250 MAP certification bonus. Requirements include being 21+, a valid driver’s license, HS diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred), and MAPS

Qualifications

• Must be MAPS certified, or obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Experience with youth (under 21) with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and ensure the safety of all youth.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage youth in meaningful activities, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and giving positive reinforcement.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and other life-skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.

As a Direct Support/Care Professional at Devereux in Rutland, MA, you will play a critical role in supporting adolescents and young adults with complex psychological and behavioral needs.

Pay & Bonuses: $20.50 to $23.87 per hour (based on education and experience). Sign‑on bonus $1,000. Additional $250 bonus for MAP certification.

• Ability to attend a 2‑week paid orientation in Rutland, MA (Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑4 PM).
• Must be MAPS certified, or obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
