Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Support/Care Professional in Rutland, MA. You will supervise youth, provide therapeutic interventions, and support daily living skills in a compassionate, structured setting.

Requirements include being 21+, valid driver's license, HS diploma (Bachelor's preferred), MAPS certification (or within 6 months), and a 2-week paid orientation for external candidates. The organization emphasizes safe supervision and collaborative care.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Active driver’s license is required.
  • High School diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education preferred.
  • MAPS certification, or able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment for Group Home Setting.
  • Able to attend a 2 week paid orientation, which runs Monday-Friday, 8AM to 4PM for external candidates.

The pay for this position starts at $21.12/hour, with additional compensation added for higher education and/or years of relevant experience up to $24.58/hour.

This position is located in Rutland, MA.

Devereux Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a Direct Support/Care Professional, you will:

  • Be passionate about working with and helping youth.

Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Active driver’s license is required.
  • High School diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education preferred.
  • Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
  • Must be MAPS certified, or able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment if going to a Group Home Setting
  • Must be able to attend a 2 week paid orientation, which runs Monday-Friday, 8AM to 4PM for external candidates.
