Job summary

Job description

Direct Support/Care Professional – Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health

Pay starts at $20.50/hour and may increase to $23.87/hour with additional compensation for higher education or relevant experience. Multiple schedules are available. An initial $1,000 sign‑on bonus and an additional $250 bonus for MAP certification are offered. A 2‑week paid orientation will be required in Rutland, MA (Monday through Friday, 8:00‑16:00).

Responsibilities

• Passion for working with and helping youth
• Responsible for the safety and security of assigned youth through direct supervision
• Provide therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment
• Engage youths in a meaningful, positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors and providing positive reinforcement
• Teach and assist with activities of daily living (ADL) skills
• Maintain adequate organizational and communication skills for documentation such as progress notes and incident reports

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license required
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• Previous experience with individuals under 21 who have psychological, emotional, or behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred
• Must attend the 2‑week paid orientation in Rutland, MA
• Must be MAP certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment (for a Group Home setting)
