Job summary

Gateways to Change, Inc. is seeking dedicated Direct Support Workers to help adults with developmental and physical disabilities in residential and community settings. You will support daily living, socialization, and skill-building for individuals served.

Responsibilities include in-home/community support, transportation to appointments and activities, assistance with daily living tasks, and fostering safe, supportive relationships. Full-time and part-time roles available across Rhode Island.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license, current insurance, registrations & inspection.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Background check with no disqualifying offenses required.

• Provide In-Home and Community Based support to individuals
• Assist individuals with achieving a variety of goals in the home and local community
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene
• Administration of medication
• Cultivate safe and supportive relationships
• Be creative, organized, and efficient
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and bring fun to the job
• Working independently and with staff

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid driver's license and existing insurance, registrations & inspection
• Must provide a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
