Gateways to Change, Inc. in Rhode Island is seeking dedicated Direct Support Workers to help adults with developmental and physical disabilities in residential and community settings.

You will provide in-home and community-based support, assist individuals with goals, transport to appointments and activities, and help with daily living tasks including personal care. This role offers opportunities to work full-time, part-time or as a substitute, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and existing insurance, registrations & inspection
• Must provide a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide In-Home and Community Based support to individuals
• Assist individuals with achieving a variety of goals in the home and local community
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene
