Job summary

Gateways to Change, Inc. is seeking dedicated Direct Support Workers to assist adults with developmental and physical disabilities in residential and community settings.

You will help individuals acquire daily living and socialization skills, providing in-home and community-based support across Rhode Island. The role involves transporting clients, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting safety and independence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and existing insurance, registrations & inspection.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide In-Home and Community Based support to individuals.
• Assist individuals with achieving a variety of goals in the home and local community.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities.
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene.
• Administration of medication.
• Cultivate safe and supportive relationships.
• Be creative, organized, and efficient.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and bring fun to the job.
• Working independently and with staff.
