Job summary

Verland Foundation Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join the team at our ORC House in Natrona Heights, PA. You will provide exceptional care to residents with complex physical, medical, and intellectual challenges in an hourly, non-exempt role.

Shifts are Full Time - 40 hours per week. The position includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, HSA, 403b, PTO, holidays, and more). Training provided prior to start of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable means of transportation required.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a full background, medical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs and record observations and progress notes.

Verland is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional to join the team at our ORC House in Natrona Heights, PA. In this crucial role, you will be providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.

Shifts available:

Full Time- 40 hours

Week 1: 6:30am - 3pm: Monday thru Thursday and Saturday

Week 2: 6:30am - 3pm: Sunday, Tuesday thru Friday

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Contributions:

• Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene
• Housekeeping duties as needed
• Other duties as assigned

2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
