Job summary

Center for Human Services (CHS) in Sedalia, MO is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, person-centered support in a residential setting. This full-time position requires a High School diploma, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote community integration and help individuals participate in community life.
• Provide personalized physical and emotional support in a residential ISL setting.
• Perform routine housekeeping and assist with meals, laundry, and daily living activities.
• Assist with mobility and transfer needs using proper techniques and assistive devices.
• Administer prescribed medications following physician orders and document accordingly.
• Maintain thorough documentation and comply with safety and agency procedures.
• Communicate professionally and advocate for a person-centered, respectful environment.
