Job summary

UCP Long Island is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Patchogue, NY. Roles include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence and life skills, and accompanying individuals to appointments and outings.

Paid training is provided; no prior experience is required. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available with flexible shifts, and full-time positions include health insurance and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid NYS driver's license required with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Experience in caregiving or related fields is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, hygiene).
• Help individuals build independence and life skills.
• Support with cooking, cleaning, and daily routines.
• Provide hands-on assistance with mobility and care.
• Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Complete documentation in line with OPWDD guidelines.
