Job summary

UCP Long Island is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals in Setauket, NY. This rewarding role supports daily living activities, independence, and community participation for people with developmental disabilities under OPWDD guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in caregiving, customer service, or similar roles is a plus but not required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License with at least 1 year of driving experience is required; non-driving roles may be available.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, hygiene).
• Help individuals build independence and life skills.
• Support with cooking, cleaning, and daily routines.
• Provide hands-on assistance with mobility and care.
• Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Complete documentation in line with OPWDD guidelines.
