Job summary

Independent Beginnings is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help adults with developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives in New Lexington, OH. You will support daily living activities, encourage independence, and join community outings, fostering relationships in a caring, structured team setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English, including both spoken and written form.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record (if transporting clients).

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities (meals, hygiene, personal care).
• Encourage independence and community involvement.
• Assist with transportation to appointments or activities.
• Build genuine, lasting relationships with those you support.
• Create a safe, respectful, and fun environment.
