Job summary

Independent Beginnings in Lancaster, OH is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help adults with developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives. You’ll provide direct care, assist with daily routines, and support community involvement, with mileage reimbursement for transports.

Training is provided, and we offer flexible shifts (days, evenings, and weekends), paid training, weekly pay, and benefits including health insurance allowance and a 401(k) after one year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to communicate in English (spoken and written).
• Personal vehicle required if transporting clients; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation.
• Collaborate with coworkers, families, and medical professionals to promote independence.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities (mileage reimbursement provided).
