Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with IDD/MH in home and community settings. You will support daily living tasks, accompany to appointments, and document activities to maintain continuity of care.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and completion of our training curriculum including CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration. Flexible scheduling and paid training are offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of direct care experience, personal care and/or CNA experience, preferred.
• Must complete and maintain our training curriculum, which includes (but is not limited to) the following:
• CPR/First Aid
• Medication Administration
• Core competencies and other trainings relevant to position

Responsibilities

• You will provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support
• You may transport the client to appointments and run errands
• Help plan and organize their schedule
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record
