Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in North Carolina is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in daily living tasks and goal attainment. You will support independence and participation in home and community activities.

Work on Monday–Friday with flexible hours in East Bend or Winston-Salem. On-the-job training is provided, with documentation in an electronic health record. Opportunities for growth and CPR/first-aid training are included.

Qualifications

• Experience is entry-level; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong interpersonal skills and reliability are essential.
• Comfort with basic household tasks and personal care responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community settings.
• Assist with housekeeping, meal prep, cooking and cleaning.
• Support with personal care such as bathing and dressing.
• Assist with transportation to appointments and errands.
• Document daily activities and client progress in the EHR system.
