Job summary

Help at Home is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. You’ll help people live as independently as possible with compassionate, reliable care.

Roles include assisting with daily living skills, encouraging community participation, and documenting progress. Flexible hours (evenings/weekends) and paid orientation with benefits are available; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Successful background check and required training.
At least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities.
Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

Supporting individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, or transportation.
Encouraging participation in social and community activities – shopping, social events etc. Helping individuals achieve personal goals and celebrating progress.
Promoting choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
Accurately documenting care, activities, and progress.
Communicating with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
