Job summary

North Star Oregon LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with I/DD in homes, communities, and day programs. You will help clients build independence, participate in activities, and maintain connections to their communities.

We offer paid training, flexible scheduling, and health plan choices with opportunities for growth. Part-time roles may transition to full-time hours based on availability and service needs.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successfully complete an ODHS-approved background check and remain eligible for continued employment.
• Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in all settings.
• Remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies or unexpected situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with ADLs including hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meals.
• Support participation in community activities, appointments, and skill-building opportunities.
• Promote dignity, independence, and self-determination for individuals served.
• Assist with medication support and documentation per orders and policies.
• Complete required electronic documentation accurately and on time.
