Job summary

North Star Oregon LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for Day Support Activities (DSA) in Albany, Oregon. This part-time role offers growth opportunities into full-time hours as service needs and availability permit.

You will support adults with I/DD through community-based activities, promoting independence and social inclusion. Training is provided, with opportunities for raises and benefits for those working 30+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check (ODHS standards).
• Smartphone needed for scheduling and documentation.
• Physically able to assist with mobility and activities.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain (North Star Oregon provides).

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in community outings and activities.
• Promote independence, inclusion, and person-centered supports.
• Assist with communication, money management, and daily living skills.
• Transport individuals safely to community activities.
• Complete required electronic documentation.
• Follow individual support plans and agency policies.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Collaborate with coworkers, families, and case managers.
