Job summary

North Star Oregon LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Day Support Activities team in Grants Pass. This part-time role offers the chance to grow into full-time hours based on availability and service needs.

You will support adults with I/DD through community-based activities that promote independence, confidence, socialization, and skill development, with plans tailored to each person’s interests and goals.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass an ODHS-approved background check.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to use a smartphone for scheduling and documentation.
• Physically able to participate in community activities and provide support as needed.
• CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain through North Star Oregon which we provide at no cost.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in community outings and activities.
• Promote independence, inclusion, and person-centered supports.
• Assist with communication, money management, and daily living skill development.
• Transport individuals safely to community activities.
• Complete required electronic documentation.
• Follow individual support plans and agency policies.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Collaborate with coworkers, families, and case managers.
