Job summary

North Star Oregon LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Day Support Activities team in Salem. This part-time role involves community-based activities to promote independence and social inclusion for adults with I/DD.

You will lead outings, support daily living skills, and document progress. Training is provided at regular wage, with potential to move to full-time, raises, and benefits for 30+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check (per Oregon DHS standards).
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility, transport, and adaptive supports as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in community outings and activities.
• Promote independence, inclusion, and person-centered supports.
• Assist with communication, money management, and daily living skill development.
• Transport individuals safely to community activities.
• Complete required electronic documentation.
• Follow individual support plans and agency policies.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Collaborate with coworkers, families, and case managers.
