Job summary

PossAbility, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Illinois to help people with diverse abilities live independently and improve quality of life. You will provide direct care, support daily living tasks, and advocate for clients in a compassionate, person-centered manner.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, promoting community involvement, and ensuring safety. The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, DSP training, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Direct Care experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with IDD and TBI.
• Minimum of 1 year of In-Home Care experience.
• Be active DSP in HCWR with approved training completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting and ADLs/IADLs.
• Maintain client safety, dignity and independence during daily living activities and community involvement.
• Document services, health status and progress according to agency policy.
• Collaborate with supervisors and the treatment team; report any changes promptly.
