Job summary

Help at Home is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support in individuals' homes and communities, helping them live safely, independently, and with dignity. You will help with daily living skills, participate in community activities, and work toward personal goals, reporting progress to the IDD Program Specialist and collaborating with a care team.

Starting pay ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a state-approved training program or passing competency test.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals build daily living skills and participate in communities.
• Follow Individual Support Plans and report progress to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assist with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in shopping, events, appointments, and other activities.
• Support individuals toward personal goals and greater independence.
• Promote personal choice, self-advocacy, dignity and respect.
• Accurately document services and progress.
• Communicate with team to provide consistent, high-quality support.
