Job summary

Almost Family is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Bend, OR, with part-time start and potential for full-time. You’ll provide attendant and relief care, helping clients engage in community activities and supporting ADLs.

You’ll transport clients to appointments, assist with household tasks, and promote independence while following care plans and maintaining documentation. Join a supportive team committed to quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• 1+ year supporting someone with I/DD (professional or personal).
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• CPR/First Aid certification obtainable (resources available).
• Able to lift up to 50 LBS.
• Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide attendant care, relief care, DSA and help clients engage in community activities.
• Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) — physical, emotional, behavioral, and communication needs.
• Provide transportation for medical appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Assist with household tasks and home management.
• Encourage and model life skills and independence.
• Promote positive self-esteem and build meaningful relationships.
• Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
